Rowett: 'We've got to embrace this'

GARY Rowett knows Millwall have their destiny in their own hands ahead of the do-or-die showdown with Blackburn Rovers.

Tomorrow’s thrilling Championship finale sees the Lions, Rovers and three other clubs still in the hunt for the final two play-off positions.

But crucially it is Rowett’s Millwall side who occupy sixth spot and knowing a victory will guarantee that topsix finish.

“It would have been lovely to be turning up not having to do anything because the top six is guaranteed, but realistically it was never going to be quite that simple this season,” said Lions boss Rowett.

“We are going into the final game with it in our own hands. You almost have to put other results to one side now. Everyone should at least feel they have done a really good job to get this far.
