US STINT PAVES WAY FOR BREWITT
The Football League Paper|October 15, 2023
SWINDON Town defender Tom Brewitt believes two years playing in the US has proven ideal preparation for becoming a mainstay in a side that quickly gained a reputation as the EFL's Entertainers this season.

US STINT PAVES WAY FOR BREWITT

The Robins plundered 16 goals in four league contests earlier this term with Crawley and Sutton seen off 6-0 and 5-3 respectively after the spoils had been shared during a 5-5 thriller at Wrexham - the anomaly in the sequence being a goalless draw against Doncaster.

Unsurprisingly, the Wiltshire outfit had netted more times than any other team in English football's top four divisions going into last weekend.

And, even though the club's first league losses of the season at Notts County (3-1) and Bradford (1-0) might have seen the goal rush subside prior to yesterday's home clash with Newport, Brewitt reckons the team will continue to focus on crowd-pleasing football.

Positive

Manager Michael Flynn is insisting on that positive approach an outlook that centre-back Brewitt grew accustomed to across the Atlantic with Tacoma Defiance and Hartford Athletic.
