All completely necessary due to Hashtag United's immense online presence. Since the club's formation in March 2016, they've enticed a staggering two million followers across the various dynamic platforms of YouTube, Twitter X, Instagram and TikTok.
The Tags joined the National League System in 2018-19, subsequently winning quick-fire promotions from Step 6 up to current Step 3 status in the Isthmian League Premier Division. I saw them at their groundshare home of Aveley FC where they knocked out higher-ranked Brackley Town 3-2 in Isuzu FA Trophy second round last month.
After relishing a thrilling fixture, I spoke to Hashtag's head of content Marcus Stamp to discover the scale of this huge broadcasting operation on a game-to-game basis.
