However, as we become more dependent on these devices, we realize there are limitations to their capabilities. We need to find ways to maximize their efficiency and processing power. This is where edge computing comes into play. Edge computing is an emerging computing paradigm that refers to a range of networks and devices at or near the user. It involves processing data closer to where it’s being generated, enabling processing at greater speeds and volumes, leading to greater action-led results in real-time. Edge computing aims to bring the computing power closer to the end user and reduce the latency and bandwidth usage of the cloud.
