Point-and-click adventure fans rejoice! Justin Wack and the Big Time Hack is an indie tribute to the much-loved LucasArts games from yesteryear. If you have fond memories of The Secret of Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, Loom, a couple of Indiana Jones offerings and more, you’ll feel right at home here. According to developer Warm Kitten, it’s a ‘cozy 2D point-and-click adventure featuring three acts, multiple playable characters and plenty of silliness. Oh, and there's time travel and relationship stuff going down too. And robots – lots of robots.’ So let’s get started...
Justin Wack is not a happy guy. If splitting up with his girlfriend Julia isn’t enough bad luck, an incident with a microwave sends him back in time, swapping places with a prehistoric guy called Kloot. Can he get back to his own time? Will he get back together with Julia? And what about the robot from the far future who’s out to repair the timeline by eliminating the time travellers? Playing as Justin, Julia and Kloot, you must sort out this almighty mess, solving some serious head-scratching puzzles along the way.
The voice acting is excellent, and augmented by the characters’ words appearing above their heads.
