MOTOROLA EDGE 50 NEO
Its 6.4-inch display sets it apart from other Edge models, which usually have larger screens, and makes it appealing for those who want a smaller device without compromising much on display size.
DESIGN AND DISPLAY
The design is a highlight, with the triple camera layout and a premium vegan leather back, giving it a unique and attractive appearance. The flat surfaces provide a good grip, and the bezels are kept minimal, offering a modern look. The sticker branding on the rear, however, detracts from the sleek rear design. The phone’s 6.4-inch 120Hz LTPO AMOLED panel supports dynamic refresh rates and offers a peak brightness of 2800 nits, making it excellent for viewing HDR content. Its compact form factor (154.1 x 71.2 x 8.1mm) is ideal for those looking for a smaller phone, though it isn’t as small as devices like the iPhone 13 Mini.
PERFORMANCE AND BATTERY LIFE
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, the phone performs well during daily tasks and gaming. BGMI and Real Racing 3 ran smoothly with no lag or stutter. However, the Camera app is sluggish, sometimes taking a few seconds to open or switch focal lengths, which could frustrate users. In benchmarks, it performs well but falls slightly short of competitors like the OnePlus Nord CE 4 5G.
The phone’s 4,310mAh battery lasts a full day under moderate usage but may struggle with heavier use. After typical usage, including social media, gaming, and messaging, the phone had only 15% battery left by bedtime. While it’s not ideal for two-day use, moderate users can manage a day of battery life.
