The electric vehicle (EV) industry has been making remarkable strides in recent years, with advancements in battery technology playing a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of sustainable transportation. ▾ Key Challenges and Local Manufacturing
One of the critical challenges associated with EVS is the quality of the cells used in the production of their batteries. As India is heavily dependent upon the import of these cells, the cost of EVs with quality battery cells is today on the higher side of the price spectrum. To make EVs affordable for the masses, batteries need to be manufactured here locally in India. We at Gemopai are putting in concerted efforts to bring down the prices of EVs and make quality products available to customers at pocket-friendly prices.
▾ Advancements in Battery Technology
The technology in the battery space of EVs is evolving quickly with a focus of the research shifting to better alternatives such as lithium-manganese-iron-phosphate (LMFP) and sodium-ion cells among others. We are actively exploring all these options and testing our vehicles with these new cells to maximize their performance potential and range. We are expecting positive developments on all these fronts and will continue to integrate superior tech in all our EVs.
