Electronic Arts has launched Season 2 of Battlefield 6, introducing a broader content update designed to strengthen the franchise's traditional large-scale warfare formula.

BATTLEFIELD 6 SEASON 2 EXPANDS CORE WARFARE EXPERIENCE

The new season arrives at a critical moment for the title, as developers focus on restoring long-term engagement through expanded maps, refreshed gameplay systems, and new combat tools aimed at veteran players who define the series’ longstanding community.

The update extends the game's live-service roadmap with a multi-month cycle of new content, including additional multiplayer environments, expanded battle-royale variations, and vehicle and weapon upgrades intended to reinforce the combined-arms combat structure that historically differentiated Battlefield from competing shooters.

NEW MAPS, MODES, AND COMBINED-ARMS COMBAT

Season 2 introduces the new multiplayer battleground “Contaminated,” a layered combat environment combining dense urban corridors, mid-range infantry routes, and wide open vehicle zones engineered for armored warfare. The map's structure encourages coordinated squad tactics, allowing helicopters, tanks, and ground infantry to operate simultaneously across interconnected zones, echoing the large-scale engagements that defined earlier titles in the franchise.
