ASK A LOCAL: BENGALURU
Drawing on tastes and materials from Mumbai to Milan, interior designer Vinita Chaitanya curates homes celebrated the world over, catering to clientele like Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. She's masterful at mixing colours, textures, and prints and showcasing India's heritage crafts, often collaborating with fashion icons such as Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Tarun Tahiliani. Bengaluru has been Chaitanya's home for four decades and she enjoys all its aspects from morning walks at her lush neighbourhood park to a daily swim at the Bangalore Club and endless jaunts in search of antiques, good dosas, and the perfect wine bar.
City walks
I simply love walking in Cubbon Park. It's just acres of century-old trees, surrounded by beautiful terracotta-coloured buildings like the High Court, the Vidhana Soudha, and the Sir Seshadri lyer Memorial Library which is a beautiful spot to read.
