Bonds develop over a period of time, but their true essence lasts beyond a lifetime. Such is the tale of Bollywood's He-Man Dharmendra Deol (DD) and Dream Girl Hema Malini (HM). Poetically if nothing lasts forever, their union is something like nothing. The two have been together for more than four decades, and their eternal love story still smells like fresh roses plucked out of a cupid's garden.

THE ROOTS

Dharam Singh Deol, popularly known as Dharmendra, or his hands down social media handle @aapkadharam, is an Indian actor, producer, and politician, who has owned all the fields he has set foot. He hails from a small village in Ludhiana, Punjab and pursued his studies in the village streets. Who knew he was not just another boy but an upcoming veteran of the gleaming Bollywood industry? The Bollywood heartthrob of the yester-era has acted in over 200 movies in his still-running career of glorious 62 years. His shelf holds the base to several recognitions, including the Padma Bhushan and the National Film Award, apart from Filmfare, IIFA, and many more.

Hema Malini, popularly known as the Dream Girl, is also an Indian actor, director, producer and Member of Parliament. Born and raised in a Tamil Iyengar family, She has always been an art and literature enthusiast. Trained Bharatnatyam dancer, HM has also been a part of several television productions, editor of women's magazine, and an active politician.

The Dream Girl stepped into Bollywood in 1968 when women weren't still in the limelight of the big screen when actresses had to bring all on the palette that they could. She created a mark then and is considered one of the finest actors in the fraternity, honoured by the Padma Shri and the Honourary Doctorate, along with other Bollywood accolades.
