7 cooling tips from the hottest spots on Earth
BEAT-THE-HEAT BEAUTIFUL!

Spending time out and about in the summer sun may be essential to boosting our mood and heath, but it can also leave us looking a bit 'weathered' by mid-July. So FIRST culled the best viral remedies that beauty influencers from the hottest spots on the globe swear by to target summer beauty bothers like dull skin, sunburn, chafing and more. Here, regional secrets to help you look great, keep cool and feel confident for the rest of the season!

ITALY

Soften rough patches with this body scrub

Dry summer air causes dead cell buildup that blocks skin from absorbing much-needed moisture-even when you're constantly applying body lotion. The result? Thick patches of dry skin everywhere. That's why Italian beauty influencers rely on a scrub made with Mediterranean Sea-sourced sea salt to keep their skin soft and supple during the dry Italian summer season.

TO DO: Mix 1/4 cup of sea salt, 1/2 cup of olive oil and 10 drops of lavender oil. In the shower, rub the mix on dry patches in a circular motion. Cooling tip: Rinse the scrub off with cold water, which brings down body temperature and improves circulation for healthier skin.

WHY IT WORKS: Sea salt's crystals exfoliate so moisturizers can be absorbed, while its magnesium and calcium nourish skin. And olive oil's squalene and vitamin E hydrate parched skin while lavender aids in locking in moisture.

THAILAND

Thwart chub rub with an aloe salve

The combination of donning thigh-baring swimsuits, shorts and skirts and sweating creates friction between the inner thighs, which can lead to painful chafing with every step. Thai women turn to aloe vera (used in abundance in the country) to treat and prevent it.
