SUMMER BEAUTY TRICKS THAT SOLVE ALL YOUR PESKY ISSUES

AS MUCH AS WE LOVE BASKING IN THE WARM SUN, we could certainly do without the havoc it can wreak on our appearance, from sunburns and chafing to oily skin and nonstop sweat. To the rescue? Dermatologists share the easy fixes that are sure to help you plow through the remainder of the season with beauty, confidence and cool comfort.

GOT A SUNBURN? SOOTHE IT WITH AN ALOE LOTION

We try our best to protect our body by slathering on SPF, but sometimes we miss a spot or don’t reapply as often as we should, leaving our skin scorched. What can help: tried-and-true aloe. The plant’s gel has a natural cooling sensation when applied to skin that instantly soothes it, says New York–based dermatologist Pooja Rambhia, M.D. Plus, aloe’s anti-inflammatory agents reduce redness and swelling while repairing skin. The downside? Most overthe-counter aloe gels contain unnecessary added ingredients. But aloe-infused lotions, like Sun Bum Cool Down Lotion (CVS.com), calm sunburned skin and deeply moisturize it at the same time, speeding healing. Ahh!

HAVE SHINY SKIN? MATTIFY IT WITH OIL-ABSORBING MOISTURIZER
