Spend some time in the city of canals with museums, great food and, of course, chocolate!

Beautiful Bruges

Walking through the Rozenhoedkaai area of Bruges is like stepping into a fairy tale. Translating to Rosary Quay, this district of the city is filled with centuries-old buildings and is the perfect spot to snap a holiday picture.

Right in the heart of Bruges, Rozenhoedkaai takes you back in time with striking stone structures which surround the city canals.

Since Bruges is teeming with canals it would be a missed opportunity not to take a boat ride along them. The Dijver and Groenerei canals meet in Rozenhoedkaai, so while you're here why not hop aboard? There are various stops throughout the city where you can jump on a boat, but watch for queues as the trips are very popular and can't be booked in advance.

If you'd prefer to stay on land, Restaurant Matinée and Casa Patata are just a couple of cafes with riverside views of the Dijver canal, so take time to sit back and relax among the beauty.

Beer fanatics should visit Bourgogne des Flandres, a distillery in the centre of Rozenhoedkaai. See how the beer is brewed and sample one of Belgium's favourite tipples.

Afterward head for a delicious dinner at Le Chef et Moi where meals are cooked by the owner himself. This quiet and cosy setting is perfect for dinner for two.
