From Pretty Woman to Ticket to Paradise, Julia Roberts has starred in more than her fair share of romantic comedies over the decades. But her greatest love story by far has been her own.
“It all starts with Danny Moder, you know?” the Hollywood A-lister shared recently of the life she’s built with her cameraman husband Danny Moder and their three teenage kids.
“He’s just really our anchor and our person. And in the most beautiful way, the captain of our ship. And it’s not, like, giving it all away to him. It’s just that for me, understanding how deeply felt life could be really started with him.”
This year, Julia, 56, and Danny, 55, will celebrate 22 years of wedded bliss, and the Oscar winner says she was fortunate to not have to choose between her career and being mum to the pair’s children, twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 19, and Henry, 16.
“The success of my work life came earlier,” she tells. “By the time I had a husband and children, I’d been working for 18 years. I had the luxury. I didn’t have to pick one or the other.” Instead, she happily
stepped into “homemaker” mode when she wasn’t working.
