She swore not that long ago that her acting days were done and dusted... then added, “Never say never.” Now it seems a return to a career in front of the camera could be an option for Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, following the massive success of her show Suits on Netflix.
The hit series, in which she plays paralegal Rachel Zane, ended in 2019, but recently became available on the streaming platform in the US. In its first week back on Netflix, the show was watched for more than two billion minutes, putting it in the top spot in the Nielsen Streaming Top 10 rankings.
Hollywood insiders say this may persuade Meghan, 42, to think seriously about resurrecting the career she walked away from when she married Prince Harry.
The couple has a $150 million deal with Netflix, which has seen them making a docuseries and producing shows such as the Heart of Invictus, about competitors in the Invictus Games, founded by Harry. It’s recently been announced they have bought the screen rights to the bestselling romance novel Meet Me at the Lake, by Carley Fortune, and are making it into a movie.
