Tinsel-town traditions CHRISTMAS WITH THE STARS

Eva Longoria

"I'm Mexican - I'm Texican!" declares Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria, 47. "We celebrate on the 24th. We don't really do the Christmas morning, like, wait for Santa. Somehow Santa came at 2 pm and here are all the presents."

Eva, who shares four-year-old son Santiago with her businessman husband José Bastón, adds, "We usually go to mass at midnight. That's tradition." Her family's favourite Christmas food, she says, are tamales - pockets of steamed corn dough with delicious fillings- and they must be handed out fairly or there will be a "war" between the aunts.

Laura Dern and Courteney Cox

Seventeen years ago, good pals Courteney Cox, 58, and Laura Dern, 55 gathered their young families together for Christmas Eve and they all loved it so much, it's become a tradition. Big Little Lies star Laura has son Ellery, 21, and daughter Jaya, 17, while Friends actress Courteney has daughter Coco, 18, and the happy bunch often share photos of their night-before-Christmas celebrations on social media. Courteney once said she considers Laura a mentor, while Laura often refers to Courteney as her best friend.
