Can you tell us a bit about the plot of novel?
AFI "Flying Angels" is a historical novel about six remarkable flight nurses, both British and American, who face the challenges of war and its many heartbreaks and victories as unsung heroes. Set largely in the UK, it's an inspiring story about courageous women who risked their lives daily, and were only acknowledged by the governments they served more than two decades later. It's also a story of friendship, relationships and honour.
Q very relatable. How formed were the women and their stories in your head before you started writing?
