Summertime hopefully means days out with family and friends. If you're lucky it might involve trying different cuisines or unusual dishes. Often feel a bit 'off' after eating out? Lots of people will have reactions to certain foods, but how do you know if you have a food allergy or a food intolerance? 

An allergy involves the immune system. It's common with nuts, milk, or eggs, which trigger an immune response that can affect the whole body. Depending on the severity, food allergies can lead to anaphylaxis, which can be extremely severe or even potentially fatal.
