Frank, feisty and funny, Sharon Osbourne has always been an outspoken character – something the nation
has seen once again during her stint on Celebrity Big Brother – and when Woman catches up with the star, she’s no different.
As honest and open as ever, Sharon, 71, holds nothing back as she talks candidly about her weight battles and surgery. However, it’s clear that underneath her assertive exterior, there are real insecurities as she admits, ‘I was never a really good-looking girl.’
Here, Sharon also opens up about her tumultuous relationship with husband of 42 years, Ozzy Osbourne, why she has so many regrets and her lowest moment…
Hi Sharon! Let’s talk about your recent weight loss…
Everybody was doing it [taking Ozempic] and I’m like, ‘Well I’ll have some!’ And you lose weight. It does what it says on the syringe. I’ve had a gastric band and I had what they call the sleeve. I’ve had everything. [But] you find ways to eat around it. I’d have two pints of ice cream a day.
You’ve come off Ozempic now – why haven’t you gained weight?
I don’t know. The doctors can’t figure it out. But I think it’s just because I’m getting older and as you get older you lose weight anyway and shrink and shrivel off.
How would you describe your relationship with food?
Crazy. I’m upset, I eat, I’m happy, I eat.
