Magical MALTA

Why go?

Being situated in the middle of the Med means Malta and its two smaller neighbouring islands of Gozo and Comino are blessed with hot, dry summers and mild winters. Frequently described as a big open-air museum, Malta has 7,000 years of history to explore, with much of the islands’ past still visible. So whether you love to snorkel, sunbathe or soak up culture, Malta has something for everyone.

Enjoy the island’s history and culture

If you’re heading to the capital with a checklist of tourist attractions – or you simply want to wander the whimsical cobbled streets – you won’t be short of options. A trip to both the Lower and Upper Barrakka gardens is a must, with panoramic views over the Grand Harbour and the Three Cities (Birgu, Senglea and Cospicua). Visit in the morning before heading straight to the nearby Saluting Battery – located along the waterfront. The guns are fired every day at 12pm, so be sure to arrive in good time for a little glimpse of history.
