SEX-MAS Is Our favourite season!
WOMAN - UK|November 04, 2024
Slipping into a party dress and heels and heading out for festive drinks with your other half is always a treat, isn't it?
SEX-MAS Is Our favourite season!

I love getting dressed up and seeing my husband Gage, 32, channelling 007 in his tuxedo, as we jump in a cab to a glitzy Christmas bash.

Sipping bubbly, enjoying three-course dinners in swanky ballrooms adorned with glittering Christmas trees, and swaying on the dance floor to festive tunes – we’re no different from most other married couples. Except for the fact that, at the end of the night, rather than returning to a hotel room just us two, we’ll usually have another married couple in tow – and we’ve not invited them back to ours for mugs of hot cocoa and cosy chats. Instead, we’ll peel off our clothes, tumble into bed and have sex together all night long.

While Gage and I have been happily married for 12 years and have two children together, one of our favourite ways to have fun, especially at Christmas, is to sleep with other people. You may refer to our raunchy hobby as ‘swinging’ but we prefer the modern term ‘non-monogamy’ and refer to what we do as ‘the Lifestyle’. However, semantics aside, the facts remain the same – despite being married, we love being intimate with multiple partners whenever the mood takes us.

Traditionally, the swinging community has been misconstrued as being rather seedy, but with 1.5 million people in the UK admitting to being part of it, it’s now a growing trend and, since the pandemic, more younger people have joined the movement too. In our experience, opening ourselves up to new erotic experiences has not only been wonderful for our marriage but for our outlook on life too.

Enriching experience

We just don’t think humans are made to happily live in lifelong monogamy. By embracing the Lifestyle, you can enrich your sex life, while strengthening your connection with your partner. And Gage and I feel more connected than ever.

Get moving to beat that low mood

Look, I know it's November. The days are shorter (like our patience) and darker (like, sometimes, our mood) and moving our body gets pushed further down the must-do list. We hunker down and become insular.
