Phillip Schofield
Phil, who stepped down from This Morning last year following his affair with a younger male colleague, had been married to his wife Stephanie Lowe for 27 years when he came out as gay on the show in 2020. But while Phil, 62, admitted later that year that he and Steph, who share daughters Molly and Ruby, ‘had not talked about divorce,’ when the scandal of his ‘unwise but not illegal’ affair came to light, Phil revealed it had affected his relationship with Steph.
Recalling the moment he confessed the affair to his wife he said, ‘It was an incredibly difficult conversation. The most difficult conversation I’ve ever had to have with her, and she is extremely disappointed because I lied to her as well.’ He added, ‘I had a wonderful marriage, have a wonderful marriage, although it’s not brilliant right now, with an incredibly supportive wife and two wonderful children.’ But it seems the pair are on good terms again, with Woman recently reporting that Phil may have moved back into the family home.
