1 WAKE ON TIME
If you struggle to get out of bed, it’s important to establish a regular sleep and wake pattern, so that you have enough hours of shut-eye to wake feeling refreshed, not groggy. Go to bed and get up at the same time every day – seven to nine hours of sleep is the goal. Tempted to doze under your duvet? Set your alarm for the time you actually have to be up – you won’t get any quality kip in between pressing the snooze button, says Lisa Artis, deputy CEO of The Sleep Charity. ‘Try putting your clock or phone on the other side of the bedroom. This means you have to walk across the room to turn it off.’
