If I'm planning a date with a man and he suggests a posh bar or fancy restaurant, he better be prepared to pay.

I consider myself to be a strong, independent woman, but that doesn't mean everything has to be 50/50 on a date - I enjoy acts of chivalry!

After all, if the relationship grows, I want to know that we can go and enjoy nice places together, and that he will be happy to treat me, just as much as I will be happy to treat him.

I know some people think expecting a man to pay on a first date is old-fashioned, but I disagree.
