I think I&rsquo;m in the lucky position where I absolutely love what I&rsquo;m doing. I&rsquo;ve worked at Good Morning Britain for eight years now, and apart from the alarm going off at 2.45 in the morning &ndash; which is the only downside &ndash; it is such an amazing privilege to get to tell people what&rsquo;s going on in the world first. I kind of love the fact that you get your working day out of the way really early on, and quite often, I&rsquo;m heading out of work when everyone else is heading into work. At the moment, though, I love what I&rsquo;m doing and I love that on Good Morning Britain we do things in a bit of a different way. Yes we bring you the news, we tell you about everything that&rsquo;s happening, but it&rsquo;s more conversational. I like to think it&rsquo;s more engaging &ndash; we do it in a way that&rsquo;s a bit more entertaining at the same time, and we&rsquo;re able to have a laugh. I get on so well with my co-presenters, so I feel really lucky to be where I am. I enjoy it so much, sometimes I think, &lsquo;OMG, I can&rsquo;t believe I actually get paid to do these things.&rsquo;
Although I think, working in live TV, you can&rsquo;t take yourself too seriously. One time I called Michael Phelps a swinger rather than a swimmer live on air &ndash; it made everybody laugh. It was a slip of the tongue and was one of those moments that you&rsquo;re like, &lsquo;Oh! I can&rsquo;t believe I said that!&rsquo;
Hopefully I will be doing this for as long as I can and then, as things change, I&rsquo;ll have a think about where I want to head next. Although I&rsquo;d love to interview one of the royals. I think the Duchess of Cambridge would be my dream guest.
But one thing I would love to do is write a book. In fact, I have started many a book &ndash; I&rsquo;ve got some amazing first paragraphs! &ndash; but I think it&rsquo;s just having the time. Or maybe it&rsquo;s just sitting down and making yourself do it. One day I will. It&rsquo;s on my wish list because I think everybody&rsquo;s got a book in them, you just perhaps need to wait for the right time to be able to get it out there. But we&rsquo;ll see&hellip; At the moment it&rsquo;s a bit of a juggling act, so perhaps when I&rsquo;m older. I&rsquo;d love to be like Dames Mary Berry, Prue Leith and Judi Dench, in their 80s and still at the top of their game. I hope that I&rsquo;m in that boat too, when I&rsquo;m that age &ndash; still working and doing what I love.

&lsquo;My funny old week&rsquo; 
WHERE I&rsquo;VE BEEN The BAFTAS. It reminded me of how special the industry I work in is. You never know who you&rsquo;re going to bump into, so it&rsquo;s fascinating.
WHO I&rsquo;VE MET Working at GMB, we get to meet loads of interesting guests. Recently we had Marco Pierre White on and I got to try his food.
WHAT I&rsquo;VE BOUGHT Cake forks and plates. If you&rsquo;re going to have a cake, you should have it on a cake stand, admire it. Give the right reverence to a slice of cake when you eat one.
WHAT I&rsquo;VE SEEN In our garden there are birds nesting at the moment and you can hear the little cheeps coming from the nesting box. It&rsquo;s such a lovely time of year.
