Bestselling author Delia Owens is renowned for her mysterious murder novel, Where The Crawdads Sing, which was recently adapted into a film, thanks to actress-turned-producer Reese Witherspoon.
But the bright lights of Hollywood have unexpectedly turned dim for the pair.
Strangely, for the 73-year-old writer, life has imitated art in the most bizarre way possible with news that Delia is wanted for questioning about a historic murder! Resurfaced reports reveal the zoologist-turned-author and her family could be potential witnesses to a 1995 homicide in the African nation of Zambia.
Delia and her now-ex-husband Mark – along with Mark’s son Christopher – are wanted for questioning by Zambian authorities in relation to the alleged murder of a poacher. Delia and Mark lived in Botswana and Zambia for 22 years and set up the Owens Foundation for Wildlife Conservation together.
It’s a dark twist amid what is supposed to be Delia and Reese’s big moment, and sources in Hollywood tell Woman’s Day the Legally Blonde actress is deeply concerned by the wave of questionable publicity surrounding the novelist.
