Ricky Recard reveals to Woman's Day that he's "not interested" in reconnecting with his estranged family, who he hasn't seen for decades.
"I haven't spoken to my family for 20 years. For the first time in a long time they'll see me pop up on their TV," says Ricky, who changed his name from Richard Blennerhasset after the family fallout. "If they reach out, then they reach out, but they won't get on to me."
And his appearance on the reality hit has indeed prompted the 34-year-old plumber's estranged father Martin to speak out about his eldest son and their fractured relationship after Ricky made claims on the show that "alcohol and domestic violence were rife" in his former family life.
"I'm not proud of the night he left," says Martin.
