Explosive new claims suggest all is not well between the women

While things continue to go downhill for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's marriage, there's another royal scandal brewing, with palace insiders reporting the Queen and the Princess of Wales are secretly feuding, putting the King "in a dangerous position".

Well-placed sources say the women have been struggling to get along for months, with Camilla, 75, feeling jealous of "can-do Kate's" popularity as she continues to dominate headlines for everything from playing the piano at Eurovision to stealing the spotlight at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Just last week, royal commentators speculated on why Kate, 41, has not yet been installed as a Royal Lady of the Order of the Garter amid rumours that the Queen might be behind the decision to delay.

According to royal biographer Tom Bower, the friction dates back to Charles' coronation, when Kate refused to curtsy to a newly crowned Camilla. He explains, "If you look at the footage, as the King and Queen leave the thrones to head for the exit of Westminster Abbey, you'll see that everyone bows and curtsies to the King, but no one moves a muscle when Camilla passes. They were angry with her."
