While at times not the W warmest of mums, the Queen thawed out over the years especially when she became a grandmother and great-granny to an adorable crew of next-generation Mountbatten-Windsors.
Her first grandson, Peter Phillips, also made her a great-grandmother on the birth of his daughter Savannah in 2010.
While Her Majesty loves all her grandkids, it's believed she had particularly close bonds with a select few.
