I HAVE VERY SENSITIVE SKIN AND always have some problems or other during the rainy season. Please tell me what can do to keep my whole body smooth, supple and healthy in the monsoon. live in Thiruvananthapuram and am a 28-year-old woman.
The rains bring in quite some issues due to the heavy humidity and the sticky, sweaty weather, for many of us, but if we keep in mind a few precautions, we can sail through this time beautifully. Take great care of your personal hygiene. Have baths daily or even twice a day, using a mild antiseptic soap. If your skin is sensitive, use a good body wash which contains calming components like olive oil, lanolin, etc; or you can use glycerine soaps too.
Dry yourself thoroughly. Dust talcum powder under arms, in the groin area, nape of the neck and on your feet if you sweat there. An alternative is a deodorant spray or roll-on. Use a moisturiser on your face to keep off dust and grime; then apply a toner which will close the skin pores and discourage perspiration.
