Meghana, a trading and performance coach, broke all her preconceived notions about the markets. She migrated successfully from a law background into the stock markets, which was a culture shock for her. In her endeavour to find the trader in herself, she realised that success at trading is more about having the right mindset than anything else. Her strength as a coach lies in helping aspiring traders to perform at their highest potential in stock trading and in life. She co-founded the training institute Malkansview with her husband, Vishal B Malkan, which inspires millions of people from various walks of life through their live and online seminars and webinars, workshops, videos and online courses, and helps them become professional traders.
Meghana shares her views and opinions in an exclusive interview with Woman's Era:
How was your initial journey from a law background to being a power trader?
Well, quite a roller coaster ride I would say! My journey into the stock market started when I got married to a stock trader. Coming from a law background and having worked as a corporate lawyer, I naturally lacked the fine-number skills that my trader husband naturally possessed. I had never traded a single share all my life until then, and to top it all up, I always thought that stock markets are a gamble! What changed the game for me was my curiosity to learn about the subject. I got myself enrolled in learning technical analysis. The more I learnt, the more I realised that maybe there is some method to this madness. Maybe, there is some logic to Vishal studying charts and graphs and then taking the trades.
That was it! I never looked back. Thankfully I had Vishal, who, with his years of experience, guided and supported me through this rough but exciting journey.
What was your motivation to opt for trading as a full-time career?
