While hypertension is a global concern, its impact is disproportionately severe in low to middle-income countries (LMICs), where health resources and systems often lack the capacity to effectively manage the disease.

In LMICs, rapid urbanization and lifestyle changes contribute to the increasing prevalence of hypertension. These regions face unique challenges due to underdeveloped healthcare infrastructure and limited access to medical care, making hypertension management particularly difficult.
