Why Negotiation Is Important?
Once upon a time in a bustling city, there was a young man named Max who had just started his own business. Max had a natural talent for sales, but when it came to negotiations, he was always unsure of himself.
One day, Max received a call from a potential client who was interested in his product. The client was a wealthy businessman named Mr.Smith, who was known to be tough negotiator. Max knew that if he was going to close the deal, he would need to up his negotiation game.
Determined to succeed, Max decided to seek the help of a negotiation expert. He researched and found a renowned negotiator, Ms. Kim, who had a reputation for closing even the toughest deals.
Max contacted Ms. Kim and arranged a meeting. During the meeting, Ms. Kim shared her secrets to successful negotiation.
She emphasised that the key to a successful negotiation was to understand the other party's needs and goals, and to find a solution that would satisfy both parties.
Ms. Kim also taught Max the importance of preparation, knowing the market, understanding the value of his product, and having a clear bottom line. Max took notes and listened carefully to Ms. Kim's advice, determined to put it into practice.
A few days later, Max had his meeting with Mr. Smith. Armed with his newfound knowledge and skills, Max was able to steer the conversation towards understanding Mr. Smith's needs and goals. He listened carefully, asked thoughtful questions, and offered solutions that were beneficial to both parties.
To Max's surprise, Mr. Smith was impressed with his negotiation skills and agreed to the deal. Max left the meeting feeling proud of himself and grateful for the lessons he had received from Ms. Kim.
