NO UNIFORMS ARE A GREAT LEVELLER
Mum of two Imogen, 47, says:
Anyone whose child has gone through choosing the right outfit' for Mufti Day knows what a nightmare it can be, especially for girls. The pressure of being seen in the latest trends, 'cool' trainers or popular brands can be all-consuming. So, imagine having to do that every day! I'm not sure any parent's nerves could take that. Let's not forget, not everyone can afford branded clothes or the latest look. School uniforms are a great leveller - all kids wear the same.
I understand it can be expensive buying school uniforms with logos, but there are always second-hand uniform sales, which of course helps with sustainability and there are also less expensive options at supermarkets.
