My go-to remedy While I try to keep bugs at bay by eating well and having a healthy lifestyle, I go full-blown medicine when I do actually have a cold. Having a bunged-up nose and not being able to breathe is the absolute worst, so I always keep a nasal decongestant on hand. A couple of sprays of Otrivine at night can make the difference between sleep and sleeplessness.

My favourite meal

I love a good traditional roast - chicken or lamb are my favourites. I make a mean roastie! Nutritionally, I love that you can eat tons of veg with a roast dinner.

I always serve at least three portions and pour on loads of gravy. And if you choose red meat occasionally, it's a chance to get a top-up of iron and zinc as well.
