New Over-50 Thyroid Cure
Woman's World|March 06, 2023
“The impacted bottles were shipped to pharmacies nationwide,” said a somber voice from the TV in Ann Hartley’s living room. It was a report on tainted batches of medication that could cause severe bleeding and strokes. That has to be the third drug recall this year, thought Ann, heading to her bathroom. The North Carolina sales rep pulled blood pressure and thyroid pills from her medicine cabinet, scanning the labels for a manufacturer name. They’re fine,” she said. Yet instead of relief, she felt like throwing them in the trash. She’d hated pills since she was a kid. But if she truly wanted to stop taking them. l/ need to finally lose weight and get healthier. And after yo-yoing for 42 years, her thyroid was shot, her cravings out of control. She was up to 264 pounds. Was it too late?

Each morning after that, Ann forced down her pills and tried to motivate herself to make changes. Should she take another stab at keto, shakes or Weight Watchers? Unable to decide, she’d often stress-eat in front of the TV. One day, she glanced up from a box of Cheez-Its to see a local couple talking about how they’d transformed their bodies in a fairly short time. Photos of them sick and heavier appeared next to photos of them lean and healthy. “Wow,” Ann marveled. She figured it couldn’t hurt to learn more about what they did.

A flicker of hope

“The goal is allowing your body to burn fat and maintain a healthy metabolism without feeling restricted,” explained weightloss specialist Brigitte Spurgeon, who was walking Ann through what she could expect from a program called Optiburn. At first, Ann couldn’t help but think: This’ ll just be another plan I waste money on and can’t stick with. But as Brigitte continued, Ann had a good feeling. She signed up.
