Cherries Jubilee Punch
Sandra's elegant twist on a fancy, fruity dessert is guaranteed to tickle your nose and tantalize your taste buds
2 (12 oz.) bags frozen dark sweet cherries, not thawed
2 (750 ml.) btles. sparkling white wine, chilled
1 cup cherry brandy, such as Kirschwasser
1 cup vodka
● Reserve ½ cup frozen cherries for garnish. Place remaining cherries in bottom of large punch bowl.
● Carefully pour sparkling wine over cherries in punch bowl; stir in brandy and vodka. Serve punch in champagne flutes. Garnish with reserved cherries. Makes 8 servings.
White Chocolate Eggnog
"Traditional and nostalgic, this recipe is a must-have," shares Sandra. "Like a holiday hug in a glass."
2 cartons (8 cups) Southern Comfort Eggnog
1 cup Southern Comfort
1 cup vodka
1 cup white chocolate liqueur, such as Godiva
Whipped cream (from scratch) or whipped topping (see Sandra's tip)
Freshly grated nutmeg, for garnish
● In punch bowl, combine eggnog, whiskey, vodka and white chocolate liqueur. Stir softly. Float dollops (spoonfuls) of whipped cream or whipped topping into punch bowl. Sprinkle dusting of nutmeg on the top of each peak. Makes 10 servings.
● Sandra's tip: If whipping cream from scratch, chill bowl and beaters 15-30 min before whipping. If using topping, use full-fat and thoroughly but gently fold in 3 tsp. vanilla extract.
