Sometimes, watches are more than collections, investments, and allocations. WatchTime India’s 11th Anniversary Issue, July-September 2023, tries to look at timepieces through this lens. With this in mind, we have our cover watch, the Chopard L.U.C Quattro Spirit 25 - Ganesh Edition, which you are seeing for the first time, on WatchTime India. Using the Grand Feu enamelling technique, Chopard has created the portrait of Lord Ganesh intricately on the dial of the brand’s third jumping hour watch.  The issue also features interviews with founders of roaring microbrands like Sarpaneva, where we speak to Stepan Sarpaneva to understand what encourages him to design out-of-the-box watches, and NORQAIN, where Ben Kuffer tells us how independence has become the cornerstone of the young, five-year-old company. In another feature, we speak to four enthusiasts/collectors on the impact of timepieces in their lives. For our collector profile, Chennai-based Umesh Agarwal opens up his incredible, chock-full-of-complications watch box for us.
