Hope the New Year is treating everyone well. Valentine’s day passed by and I am sure everyone expressed your love. The world is a much better place when we are in love, and life has more meaning when we have that one special person with whom we can share the highs and lows of life. And when we talk about love and all the good things how can I not mention about women’s day and how a woman adds more colour and life to all things. But I would like to add that it saddens me to see so many stories of how women are abused and harassed and how kids are sexually abused as well, and it is our responsibility as a society to put an end to all the violence against women and we should have strict and stringent laws to punish the o enders against women. This year surely has whizzed past faster than I can imagine. Although I am not half as close to being comfortable that the year is gearing towards the end. The thing I  look forward to is that the rest of the year will be better than the first half of it. As the festival season closes in, there is a lot of celebration in store in the coming months. 
Also as the inauspicious Aadi month leads way to preparation to weddings there is much to look forward to besides the weather cooling down and being bearable. As we have entered a New Year and quite a fancy one at that .We are already well into a
month and more. The wedding season has kick started,and what more reason do we need to
celebrate our third anniversary,
yes Mehendi turns 3.
Our baby steps may not have been perfect, we crawled a bit, fumbled and even fell,but
only to over come and stand tall. And so this year we are all set to go head on to give you
the pleasure of being part of the Mehendi family. It has been the constant support of our
well wishers, clients, contributors and most of all our readers who has helped us pursue
this journey. And as the years roll by we are sure to push harder to give you the ultimate
Mehendi experience. This issue is special for us as we have the unbelievably beautiful star
Kajal Agarwal as our cover girl. She is often hailed as the darling of the masses and the
lucky charm of most producers. Kajal very graciously lent us her time in between her back to
back schedules.
We have also revamped our issue to be able to give you a new and easier feel. In our
honeymoon section we take you through Mauritius and also thru India’s gem Gangtok.Our
wedding rituals focuses on Jain custom of marriage. We have also added style tips for the

My favorite part of the year is just
around the corner, the temperature
dips and the festivals begin soon, and we set stage for the celebrations.
Weddings these days are getting so adventurous it is a festival of sorts,
spanning for almost a week of activities. Families are choosing venues out
of city limits to conduct their extravagant functions. I recently witnessed
a wedding which was based on an African theme and stopped short of
only bringing a piece of Africa right here in town. The elaborate tents,
costumes and musicians took you to a different realm. They even had
African dancers performing traditional dances. The world has certainly
gotten a lot smaller, and boundaries have been now broken. We bring
you inspiration in form of the feather theme wedding as light as air in

All of august flew by with not a day to spare, and all this month, I was to be honest, figuring out a small trivia I came across much to my amusement. From this part of the year, there is no stopping us, we have had Eid celebration, already , rakhee, Krishna jayanthi , and soon navrathri , and diwali to  follow. And I have not even mentioned the number of engagements, sangeeths, baaraths, and weddings that has been lined up during the latter part of the year. If there is one word which encapsulates my feeling in these past two years of our journey it would be Challenging. Each issue our team and I scour for ideas, possibilities and new boundaries.
