The industry lost close to Rs 75,000 crore in sales during the lockdowns. But
as mall operators, we held out support to the tenant retailers, to the workers,
staff, officials, customers, even as light at the end of the tunnel seemed far. SCAI,
on behalf of its members and for the industry, made over 1,200 representations
to various authorities at the Centre, State and local levels, and continues to do
so. W
