Essential Algarve is now officially a teenager! It was 13 years ago in June 2000 that the
first edition rolled off the press, planting the seed for a group of magazines now covering the
Algarve, Lisbon and Madeira here in Portugal and that has expanded into new markets, with
Essential Magazines in our portfolio today as far away as Macau and Malaysia and even a
special edition in London.
The last few years, however, have been very challenging for this magazine and others here in
Portugal, so we are very pleased to present you with a bumper 148-page edition to celebrate
our anniversary.
