Yes, Architecture+Design, the premium national journal of architecture, and HP joined hands in Pune to dwell with over 150 architects in the distinguished audience, on ‘Interpreting Smart Design’. Suneet Paul, Editorin-Chief of the magazine, while introducing the theme, expressed that this phase was a very good opportunity for a fast-developing country like India to explore and incorporate contextualised concepts of smart cities and design. This interactive meet was supported by the Pune chapter of the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), and the Chairperson of this chapter, architect Jayashree Deshpande, was the Special Guest on this occasion. She, along with explaining the initiatives of the chapter towards accomplishing higher standards in architecture, also pointed out that this day became more important because it was the 100th Founding Day of the IIA.
