Shane Chiddix’s Unlimited Jimmy’s 4x4 IFS car and Joshua Jackson’s Stock Class WJ Grand Cherokee.
The world of race drivers in dirt sports is o en viewed as a terrific and exciting life with endless satisfaction. What everyone sees from the stands are big horse power vehicles launching over and through trails that would take most people a day of crawling. The real story, behind the scenes, is a world of hard work and devotion that consumes most of your time and finances.
To showcase this work, we decided to take a look and see what exactly goes into prepping for one of the biggest races of the year, King of the Hammers. We traveled to Fat Boyz Motorsports in Colorado Springs, Colorado where we were lucky enough to find two cars in full preparation mode.
The cars we will be looking at are Shane Chiddix’s Unlimited Jimmy’s 4x4 IFS car and Joshua Jackson’s Stock Class WJ Grand Cherokee. On the outside, you can’t find two vehicles that would be more drastically different. The only thing they may have in common is that both have eight cylinder engines and a steering wheel. However, when it comes to the work put in and the e ort preparing for the race, you’ll see a lot of similarities.
