Poison Ivy

Dave Velcek’s ’52 Ford Victoria custom convertible, “Poison Ivy” was imported from California about 12 years ago by his mate, Shannon Jennings, who then changed the wheels, organized to have air suspension fitted and completed a heap of other jobs to get the car up to Australian standards.

This late sixties custom has appeared in a few American magazines over the years and still looks much the same. The driveline, body, paint, Carson top, and interior haven’t really been touched but the wire wheels it once wore have been replaced with 15-inch steelies with Coker cross-ply whitewalls. Originally all painted in just the dark green, we believe the flame job was added to this car sometime in the seventies.
