More than 20,000 visitors flocked to Melbourne’s spectacular Royal Exhibition Building from 13-15 October for the eighth annual Motorclassica, Australia’s most prestigious classic car event.
This year the show boasted its biggest array of features, from the hotly contested Australian International Concours d’Élegance (see panel), through to the ever-popular ‘Club Sandwich’ car club displays and classic car auction hosted for the first time by Mossgreen.
Proceedings were kicked off by the Tour Classica, which produced a convoy of dazzling classics from Alexandra Gardens, on the banks of the Yarra River, through the centre of Melbourne to the World Heritage-listed exhibition hall. The Tour was led by the Holden FJ-inspired EFIJY concept, marking the first time the Corvette-based machine had taken to the public roads.
