The land of fire and ice - Iceland - gets its name from the existence of a varied tourism landscape that ranges from ice glaciers to volcanos. It has been increasing in popularity amid the sophisticated Indian travellers’ segment. These travellers have visited the more mainstream parts of Europe and are now keen to explore alternative destinations like this one. Globally too, the country has seen an upward trajectory in its popularity. In 2022, it is expected that 1.3 million tourists will visit the country, and in 2023 the number could be 1.5 million.
What makes it better is that Iceland is now open to Indian travellers. However, travellers need to be fully-vaccinated with the approved vaccinations by the European Union, which includes Covishield by AstraZeneca.
