The topline and the bottomline of Hi-Tech Pipes has grown significantly in the December quarter. What factors gelled well for the company?
During the 9 months ended December 2018, the net revenue of the company has increased from 733.4 cr to 980 cr., with the growth of 34% and profit after tax of the company has increased from 15.9 cr. to 19.2 cr., with the growth of 21%.
Further, during Q4FY19, the volumes of the company crossed 80,000 MT with a growth of 45%. During FY18-19, the volumes of the company crossed 2,69,000MT with the growth of 19%. In 2018-19, the volume of galvanized tubes and the volume of pre-galvanized tubes increased significantly.
Massive infrastructure creation in the country such as pan-India water grids, gas distributions network, affordable housings, renewable energies, transmission and telecom, aviation, agriculture, and irrigation, etc. has contributed significantly for the growth.
How are the new developments in the industry being incorporated into the company's products?
Our industry has witnessed incredible growth and expansion. The continuous evolution in the product range resulted in the introduction of hollow section pipes for infrastructure. Gradually this segment has grown manifold replacing angles, channels, wood, etc. With increased awareness, numerous applications of the product are being explored and added continuously, viz., structures of telecom towers, toll plazas, metro stations, solar mountings, greenhouses, water and gas supplies, airports, and many others.
