I am a big believer in learning from feedback, constructive criticism and staying grounded. Ed Catmull, Co-Founder of Pixar, is the kind of leader I would like to become one day. Ed is a big proponent of looking inwards when things go wrong and looking outward, i.e., how much luck and timing were responsible for success. In this day of boisterous hype that can sometimes lead to self-doubt, this book made me realize that long-lasting companies can still be built on the pillars of humility and not being caught in one’s hubris.
