It feels like a dream come true. I always wanted to do the kind of work I am doing. So when directors and producers of that stature put that faith in you…it feels nice. The kind of scripts I am reading, it wasn’t there a couple of years ago. Now I want to do it all has quietly moved into the top echelons of the film industry, seemingly without trying. Though that’s not true. She made an unheralded entry in Bollywood with Fugly (2014) but it took her four years after that to be noticed. It was Lust Sories an anthrology film, that brought her into the limelight. Then thanks to the success of Kabir Singh (2019) and Good Newzz (2019), Kiara found herself to be the toast of big banners. She doesn’t just possess exotic good looks and a great figure but has acting chops to go with them. Charming, vivacious and always full of positive energy, she’s looking forward to 2021, where she has Jug Jugg Jeeyo, Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Shershaah coming up. On the personal front, she’s reportedly seeing Sidharth Malhotra, though she has chosen to remain mum about it and doesn’t even throw the ‘we’re just good friends’ line when asked about it. Though the media reports the duo had a ‘meet-the-parents’ moment and even indulged in a Maldives vacation together. Hmm… No personal-questions policy aside, the actress is quite candid when it comes to tackling questions about her career and life. Excerpts from a free-flowing interview with the bubbly actress...
