Ferne is keeping a low profile as she prioritises her baby.

This time last month she was on cloud nine. Madly in love, her career riding the crest of a wave and – the cherry on the cake – suddenly expecting her first child.

Today all that is in tatters. And as Ferne McCann licks her wounds in the care of her doting mum, she is facing up to the biggest crisis of her life.

And all because the man she loved – note the past tense here, Arthur Collins is very much her EX-boyfriend – stands accused of a horrific acid attack in an East End nightclub.

‘Ferne worries that her reputation has been stained because of something she had no involvement in,’ a long-standing friend tells Now. ‘It’s so utterly unfair and she doesn’t know where to turn.

‘She’s not appearing on TV at the moment, despite her being a relatively regular fixture on This Morning, and she is worried that all of this may affect her bookings in the future.’
